Hi, We are creating a new decentralized synthetic cryptoasset codenamed XOR on Ethereum ecosystem. We call it a synthetic asset becuase it's a synthesis of BTC, ETH and major altcoins and USD stablecoins. XOR lets investors and token-holders gain exposure to the BTC-Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies while protecting them from extreme intraday price volatility and downside risks generally associated with cryptocurrencies. Basically XOR is a capital protection insurance with infinite upside potential. XOR is an DeFi protocol that will allocate funds under its management to the following three classes of crypto assets: 1. Bitcoin and 2. USD-linked stablecoins and 3. Altcoins such as ETH, XLM and XTZ dynamically and directionally in a mutually exclusive way. If BTC value is either relativel... (read more)

Hello REN community, Last week, we ([Multi.io](https://multi.io/)) hosted the "Interoperability in DeFi" panel at REIMAGINE2020 virtual conference. We just uploaded the recording to our YouTube channel. Link below. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnYqxSyTsHQ&t=0s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnYqxSyTsHQ&t=0s) Michael Burgess from Ren Protocol , Deniz Omer from Kyber Network and John-Paul Thorbjornsen from THORChain were joining the discussion with Artur Luhaäär, COO at Multi.io to talk about the future of decentralized finance. Interoperability is one of the biggest buzzwords in DeFi. Some of the topics being covered were: \- What is the best real use case for DeFi? \- What is the “elephant in the room” in DeFi? \- What are the risks of bringing Bitcoin to Ethereum?

Hi, I’ve been reviewing ren protocol on how to run a dark node and I have some questions... hope someone can answer them? 1. If running a darknode on PC, does that mean PC has to be connected to internet 24/7? 2. If you use AWS for example, are they cracking down on crypto? Would they shutdown our darknode? 3. Ren bond getting slashed - What does it consider malicious? Let’s say you just run the darknode as normal, anything can go wrong that can flag as malicious? 4. Refilling your node with .01 ETH. How do you know when you need to refill? Thanks in advance!

I was so amazed to find this page today. I hope in time this community will get larger. I learned of REN about a year ago and have been working on getting more. There are many analysts for BTC however I am wondering if there are any good analysts for REN? Also very interested in receiving trade alerts. I would appreciate any information you can provide.

Can you use any Ethereum paper wallet to store REN on? Thanks.

**Best General RenVM Questions of April 2020** *\*These questions are sourced directly from Telegram* **Q: Quick question here, but any plan to bridge as well with the Tezos protocol? Using soon to be released Ren network could be a key advantage to be the first with a viable solution on their protocol. Plus Ren is indépendant of ETH (collateral speaking) making it interesting for other protocols.** **A:** Yes, this is very much possible. RenVM can work with any ‘destination chain’ that has smart contract functionality. We’ll be exploring others like Polkadot, Tezos, etc.. once it makes sense and we are happy with the Ethereum side of things. **Q: How many physical Darknodes will be in Greycore?** **A:** It depends on the final cohort, but it’ll be 15+ as each team will run a few Dark...

# Ren **What is Ren?** Ren is an open protocol that enables the permissionless and private transfer of value between any blockchain. Ren's core product, RenVM, brings interoperability to decentralized finance (DeFi). What makes RenVM unique is that it does everything in secret using zero-knowledge proofs over an sMPC based protocol that the team has pioneered. The state, inputs, and outputs of all programs that RenVM runs are kept hidden from everyone, including the Darknodes that power it. This allows RenVM to securely manage (ECDSA) private keys on different blockchains, making it possible to shift tokens between these blockchains in a fully trustless, permissionless, and decentralized way (i.e interoperability). Technically speaking RenVM is a byzantine fault-tolerant protocol (wit... (read more)
